Happy Monday! What a great weekend LEARNING FOR YOU!

Words cannot describe the weekend I had at the NCSLMA 2014 conference!  Roaring Readers...I was learning for you!  I met Toni Buzzeo, author of Our Librarian Won't Tell Us Anything and bought three of her books for us to share at Kiser!  I also met Mr. Schu, a librarian from Illinois and Mrs. Miller from Iowa!  It was so much fun to learn from others and bring back awesome ideas to share with YOU!  I can't wait to see you in the library and to introduce you to some new books!

Marvelous Monday in the Media Center!

Good morning Roaring Readers - it is a beautiful fall day and we have already filmed two book commercials in the library today!  I want to encourage each of you to watch some commercials, come by the library and find a just right book for you and enjoy some precious reading time!

Friday, 10/3!

Happy Friday Roaring Readers!  Wow!  What a great week - researching, reading and filming book commercials.  I am so proud of our Kiser students!

Next week, I have a fun lesson planned for our third graders...here's a hint:  BEEKLE!

Fourth and fifth graders...we will continue researching and preparing you for your projects!  Yay!  And...I almost forgot, TELL YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY - the BOOK FAIR IS COMING on Halloween!  Woo-hoo!

Thursday in the Kiser Library!

Inquiry learning...fun to watch in action as my fourth and fifth graders used Chromebooks today to find reliable sources of information and learn about early explorer (5th) and NC Native Americans (4th).  I love to watch students help each other and ask questions...way to research Roaring Readers!
